- HOME BANKBOOK is a program for keeping track of funds in a
- bankbook-like system. The software runs on IBM PC/XT/AT
- computers and compatible systems. I originally wrote the
- program in 1983 in order to help my children keep track of
- their spending money. They were forever losing their cash
- allowance, or arguing over whose dollar it was that was
- found lying on the floor. Also, it seemed difficult to re-
- member if they had received their allowance for a particular
- week, especially if they had asked for and received an ad-
- vance, or had forgotten to ask for their allowance until a
- few days after the usual "pay day".
-
- If these problems sound familiar, this program is tailor
- made for you.
-
- The HOME BANKBOOK software is being offered to the public as
- Shareware. To use it, download BANKBOOK.ARC and unpack with
- ARC. You will find the following three files:
-
- 1. BANKBOOK.TXT - This is the full documentation for
- the HOME BANKBOOK software. Read it as is, or
- print it out by typing COPY BANKBOOK.TXT LPT1:
- assuming that BANKBOOK.TXT is on the default drive
- and your printer is connected to LPT1:.
-
- 2. BBSETUP.EXE - This is an initialization program for
- the HOME BANKBOOK program.
-
- 3. BANKBOOK.EXE - This is the main HOME BANKBOOK
- program.
-
- If you have difficulty downloading and un-packing this soft-
- ware, and would rather get it on disk, I will send you the
- complete software package, including a program for printing
- out the individual bankbooks created by the HOME BANKBOOK
- programs, for the normal $15.00 registration fee charged for
- this Shareware package. Send your $15.00 check to:

-
- Please specify whether you have a color monitor or a
- monochrome monitor, and specify a password that you want to
- use with the HOME BANKBOOK system. If you do not specify
- these items, you will receive software that runs best with a
- color monitor, and I will give you the password that I
- select.
